Although Jackie likes to use locally-sourced produce, she’s always prepared to look much further afield for unique, regional specialties. So one of the attractions of eating at the Lamb is that the menu changes from one day to the next..

As well as long-standing favourites such as 28-day aged rib eye, beer-battered cod and chips or corn beef hash with a fried egg, you may also be tempted by a hand-raised pork pie, duck confit, real kedgeree or a Thai curry in the winter months. At other times of the year you might be eating scallops and black pudding, eggs Benedict, carpet clams or coq au vin.

Lunch and dinner, there’s just one menu and you can sit and eat in any of the pub’s three rooms, in the courtyard (weather permitting) or in the Stables dining room which is away from the main building and just off the courtyard.

We welcome private parties. If you’re planning a get together of family or friends, the intimate and cosy setting of The Stable room makes it ideal for parties of 12 to 20 people. Lunch is served seven days a week; dinner is available Monday – Thursday. Sample Menu.

Our meat
is from Burrough’s family butchers at Cobbs farm or Jesse Smith in Marlborough. Beef is McDuff Scottish grass fed cattle. Pork from Plantation free range pigs or Ramsbury free range pigs. Lamb from either the Cotswolds or Scotland and Freemans free range chickens - Newent.

Although every menu has a vegetarian option, providing we have the necessary ingredients, we're more than willing to produce a vegetarian dish to order.

Eating
at The Lamb is not in the slightest bit pretentious and is in fact quite an informal affair.
